It’s not yet known if any posthumous Bowie releases will feature new or unreleased music, but past re-releases of Bowie’s work have included some previously unheard tunes. Bowie is also said to have demoed five new tracks prior to his death which didn’t make it onto his final album, Blackstar.
Elsewhere in Bowieland, a reboot of the 1986 Jim Henson film Labyrinth (which starred Bowie as Jareth the Goblin King) is reportedly in the works, with The Hollywood Reporter claiming the film is being rebooted by Jim Henson Co. and TriStar (a Sony company). What’s more, a cast album for Bowie’s off-Broadway play Lazarus is also in production.
