The University of Westminster 2016 graduate fashion show has raised the standards for the graduate fashion show season. At last week's showcase, the BA (Hons) Fashion Design graduates presented their final year collections, which were equally strong in the disciplines of menswear, womenswear, tailoring, print, and embellishment.
With past students including Liam Hodges, Claire Barrow, Ashley Williams, it is no wonder that the key press and stylists were keen to see what the next generation of talent are bringing to the game.
Course Director of the University of Westminster's Fashion Design BA Andrew Groves says:
“This year’s graduates have shown exceptional creativity and imagination which has been translated into their final runway collections. The time the students spend with international design houses during the course has been a truly enriching and rewarding experience for them, which is reflected in their final collections.”
With London Fashion Week becoming ever more commercial, it was a joy to see experimental designs, reminding us that London's strength in the fashion world is to take chances, push the boundaries and let other fashion capitals follow.
