Roland Mouret is a designer who knows what women want. This year, is the tenth anniversary of his acclaimed Galaxy dress, and it's no wonder that the design has stood the test of time. Classic yet sophisticated, it is a comfort blanket for women across the world.
For Spring Summer 16, Mouret has re-invented the shape and outlook, taking inspiration from ‘Aujourd’hui Madame’ a French television programme from the early 70s. The collection is stuffed with louche 70s references- mid length hemlines, bias cut skirts, and paisley jacquard, to enhance the relaxed hipster mood. Separates are key with Bardot tops mixed with tiered ruffled skirts, halter necks, peephole shoulders and and wide legged trousers provide a sensuous collection ready for a long hot summer. To enhance the collection, there is also a capsule range of five limited edition pieces to celebrate 10 years of the Galaxy dress: The Galaxy top, skirt, jacket and jumpsuit will sit alongside the infamous dress, creating the all-encompassing wardrobe for the Roland Mouret woman. The Galaxy has legs and long may it reign! See the full collection at www.rolandmouret.com/ss16 Article: Sara Darling
