Singer songwriter Peter Gardiner from Newtownards in Northern Ireland, whose inspiration comes from the likes of; Bruce Springsteen, Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan. Pete is a lyricist, moved by situations. He writes about relationships, doomed love affairs, news stories and any daily anecdote that inspires him to put pen to paper. Signed by entrepreneur Neil Utley to his label NUA recordings (Also home to Charlie Simpson) under the A&R direction of Grammy & Billboard award winning producer Paul Hardcastle. Pete has achieved extensive regional radio play & sessions nationwide, spot plays on Radio 2, sessions on BBC London and has Peters album ‘Ashtray Black’ due for release March 2017 is a stunning collection of songs that simply make you feel good. The often ironic, often heartbreaking lyrical content sits very well over tunes that you find yourself singing along to, firmly positioning Pete as a burgeoning talent in the songwriting world. The album is produced by Mercury winner Tommy McLaughlin, with ‘11 Oclock’, ‘All These Things’, ‘Pretty Smiles’ and ‘Hard Days’ mixed by Ash Howes.
