Fantastic news!
Today, the EU-Canada trade deal CETA suffered a historical setback, as European Union governments failed to sign it off at the Foreign Affairs Council of Europe. CETA spells disaster for our environment, it creates a nightmare for governments, national and local, resisting privatisation and it gives corporations the right to sue governments in special courts, which are solely for big business to sue elected governments. Today, after the one hour meeting lasted for four hours, no agreement was made and the deal is currently on ‘hold’. Doubtlessly the bureaucrats in Brussels will be working round the clock to ensure a deal can be agreed soon, and we don’t expect this to be the end of the story. But an end is a distinct possibility. If not with today’s Council meeting, then in the European parliament. Please help this vital campaign today by emailing your MEP

Your blog is really informative and it made it look like you did a lot of research to be able to write it. I also liked the illustration which you included on top. I find it very creative and artistic which made your article more interesting. The way you included a link bellow in order to support this campaign is also admirable. All in all, I enjoyed reading your article and I think that you will be able to write more articles ahead.

This is such a huge news for the EU-Canada trade. I think that it is good to stop CETA, because all it does is create nightmares for the citizens and the environment. Your article is loaded with facts. I can see that you have done your research properly. However, I feel like your article lacks your personal view regarding the issue. Maybe next time you can share it.
