This striking new book by Fan Ho, revisits images he captured as a child at the age of just 15. In todays society of instagram, twitter and facebook. Fan Ho's images are an extreamily refreshing and also emotional journey back not too far, but in todays society, a world away. By physically holding up two negatives up to the light, Fan Ho would play with composition. When he created something that he liked, he would then sandwiched negatives together and montage them. In our world of post production and perfection, this hands on and personal approach seems to be a dying art. These images make up this enchanting series by Mr. Ho, titled, Fan Ho: A Hong Kong Memoir Having won 280 awards international since 1956, Ho has been elected Fellow of the Photographic Society of America, Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, England; Honorary Member of the Photographic Societies of Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Brazil, Argentina, Singapore and etc, and was honored with One-Man-Shows in the above countries. Ho’s works can be seen and have been published in many International Photographic Annuals all over the world.
